“A comfortable heaven in the heart of Transylvania”
Transylvanian Inn is a family run hotel, in the heart of Transylvania. It is owned by the Addisons family (Alina and Phil based in London) and Alina’s family, based in Romania. It started with Phil’s dream to build an affordable, comfortable hotel in Romania, when he first visited the country in 1992.
Years later, the dream became a reality, when Alina’s dad, Costi took the challenge on. It took Costi one year to find a location that he fell in love with and another three years to manage the building project. The hotel was finally opened in 2006, as a warm and welcoming place, where one can experience spectacular views over the mountains, whilst enjoying traditional food made with locally sourced fresh ingredients. The hotel is now managed by Alina’s younger sister, Laura.
The hotel has 20 cosy and comfortable en-suite rooms and 2 apartments. Through its decor, unique position and warm atmosphere, the hotel is a relaxation and reflection oasis for its customers, many of whom treat it as a second home, once they’ve experienced our services.
The hotel has a restaurant, a conference room and a tower, all with breath-taking views over the Dracula castle and the surrounding mountains. It is the ideal location for retreats and small events for up to 50 people.
But as with anything worthwhile doing in life, there is no gain, without a bit of pain! Situated on a hill, in Predelut Village, the hotel is at the end of a small bumpy, narrow road. If you are prepared to go that little extra 200m at the end, we promise you it will be worthwhile!
